This is the "work section" of my website. At the time of creating this page, I am unemployed. The general aim of this section, therefore, is to help convince prospective employers that I have the potential to be a productive employee. Here you will find a showcase of various items I have done in my working life, and also some things I have done in the course of Learning How Things Work. In particular, as my knowledge of web technologies improves, I will be adding links here to various projects I have been working on. So, on with the show...
Just two links for the time being. More will be added soon! |

An audio visual presentation created for a small Luxembourg based company that specialises in Satellite Monitor and Control software. This presentation introduces the concept of "Visionic", a software product created by the company, that uses Microsoft Visio to create an integrated M & C software system, simply by recreating the hardware schematic in Visio. This presentation was created in two weeks, which included learning how to use Flash in the first place. It was done in 2002, and is still in use on the original website (although this link is to a copy on my own website).

| "Mens Health" Gadget Interface | This is not a finished site. It is an exploration of various techniques in Adobe Photoshop to create a "gadget" interface for a fictional site, done as part of the Internet course I attended in 2003. ("Mens Health" is a real publication, but has absolutely nothing to do with this creation, other than being the initial inspiration). The focus was on creating 3D effects, such as button shapes, indented shapes and rounded "cut-out" segments for the borders of the content. As it was an investigation of what could be done with Photoshop, rather than an attempt to make a working site, the graphics are not as optimised as they might be - the initial download may be a bit slow! |
